One of the toughest, heaviest, and strongest Jaegers in the Kaiju War. Cherno Alpha is a Mark-I Jaeger, but the kaiju knew him as a devastating war machine.

Cherno Alpha is one of the last remaining Jaegers in the Kaiju War, until his destruction in 2025. Cherno is actually the second most powerful Jaegers in the PPDC, alongside Crimson Typhoon, with Striker Eureka. Cherno is designed to come face-to-face, with his close combat skills that can easily cripple kaiju. Alpha has 2 Incinerator Turbines, powerful weapons that used to flame out at the kaiju with grappling distance. Cherno is also equipped with Tesla Fists, electrical shocks from his hands to deliver stunning energy to the kaiju.

Cherno Alpha is known for his great power and intelligence. Cherno's "head" is located at his midsection, nearly impossible to detach and impossible to eject with a escape pod. The pilots needs to fight to death, or fight to survive. Cherno's fuel and supplies are located at the top, making a great decoy for the kaiju to close in, and Alpha makes a terrible surprise for them. Very few kaiju attacked his midsection, but the few who did were overpowered by the Jaeger's fists. He was one of the best until Otachi and Leatherback destroyed him and his honour. Soon Cherno got destroyed by Leatherback and the family team were drowned and the explosion happened and then the family were just bones. Cherno alpha beated a Kaiju who looked like a puffed up toad. Cherno also bashed a Kaiju with a iceberg. Cherno's partner alongside it was "Crimson Typhoon", both were destroyed in the same battle.

Cherno always bashes both its fist together when about to fight. Cherno also is one of the oldest Jaeger because it was made in 2015. The tesla fist can stun some kaiju for Cherno's advantage. Cherno sometimes headlocks kaiju's and it's fist will then unhinge because it's the kaiju "Otachi" who can spit out acid.
